Faith-based?

Faith - an interesting word

No two English dictionaries define the word in the same way. However, two concepts are mentioned. One is trust and the other is belief, each to be given without proof.

But in the Faith-Based Initiative put forth by our president to allocate tax dollars, this trust and belief are solely to be given to god-based organizations.

The proof is in every speech he gives to his Christian supporters.

Whose god? The one behind the organization applying for our tax dollars - of course.

What God? The one created by the organization expecting our tax dollars - of course.

Knowing that there are many hundreds of god-based organizations under the 'laws' of our country, the trust and belief will be widely spread. But be assured the organizations will have Christian foundations.

Really?

Who is kidding whom?

Can you imagine giving tax dollars to a Muslim? Jew? Secularist? Shinto? Buddhist? Not even in a community where those beliefs predominate! Because the ones who allocate our tax dollars under our present government will use the Christian bible as their basis of faith.

Depending on the 'faith' prevalent in any given community requesting those tax dollars, our trust and belief will support services given by people whom have one service underlying their agenda. That is service to the 'god' THEY trust and believe in.

Individuals will receive compassion after they agree to believe in the 'god' that dispenses the compassion. Hardly a use public tax money should support.

Accountability?

Faith-based organizations do not pay taxes. Those faith-based organizations never have to account for their funds. Under our present laws we cannot hold the organization accountable for any action.

Deceit?

Faith-based organizations, when criticized for their faith, unite with every 'church' to defend their right to believe in a god. But in their separate meetings and to listeners close by, leaders spew hatred and mistrust toward every other religion. All others are cults, you see. If you don't believe in my god - the true god - you cannot be saved. Live in fear of retribution.

There is only one god. And it happens to be mine. Believe it.

I do not want our country's taxes - public money - to support any or every religion when administering basic needs to the less fortunate.

Influence Federal Spending!

Send a hand-written letter to our appointed president if you choose to have accountability in spending taxes. Let no religion apply.
