SCIENTIFIC RAT STUDIES

or

death is an option?

A study recently reported showed new expectations for longevity. The studies were on rats, I suppose. Americans don't expect to die anyway so why listen. Death is not an option, is it? But just so you know, people who live on a 1200 calorie diet will live 30 % longer than those eating more.

Now I live on 1200 calories for about 4 hours, maybe less. I don't suppose that qualifies. I haven't lived on so few calories for a whole day since food was scarce in 1931. And I don't intend to repeat that any time soon. There are people who are slim - which I envy - and I doubt that they conscientiously count calories. Either they are genetically lucky, full of allergies, or have trained themselves to eat less than what is in front of them. Clean your plate is my motto. And not only yours but any others left on the table.

Many people will take that study seriously and stop eating for a time. What will they eat? do people understand a balanced diet? Two candy bars a day, some may have as few as 600 calories so there is a morning and evening meal right there. Weight watcher groups out there can guide overweight humans to eat balanced food that they really like and still lose weight and keep it off. I see it working.

Just a minute here, with the advertising, agriculture advise, doctor's orders, and our own renegade taste buds and undammed saliva glands, which of us is ready and willing to live on 1200 calories a day?

Today, or any other day? And besides that, I don't like thin rats, fat rats, or any rats, especially when they tell me I eat too much. I'm going to stay fat and sassy and live as long as I will.
