Ashton left for Oxnard yesterday and her checked bag with a few important presents was too heavy to meet requirements so she took out a few items to lighten the load. I will take them to her when I visit later this month. She had rolled the air mattress and left “her” room neat so all I had do this morning was relocate my laptop and store the bedding. Not a strenuous job but I tired. I rinsed out towels and hung them on the line. First time this year. Not that I really expect them to dry but if they freeze some I can hang them to finish drying in the house. The air inside can use some humidity, my head aches sometimes from dry sinuses. The house feels empty being by myself again. Occasionally I may have a visitor but not enough to make a habit. I will store the air mattress and pump not expecting to need it until, or if, Nancy comes to visit. My Pendleton blanket is stored away and other wool and knitted lap robes. Although I may have need of those because the north wind doth blow and we will have snow but poor robin has not arrived yet so I will just have to see how the weather turns out. I signed up to use the exercise room at the Community Center to muscle up my breadbasket. Not eating is not enough to take down my circumference so I will workout on machines at least a couple of times a week. It costs $20 a month or $3 per day, depending on usage. Good deal, I think. For now I will sit back and plan on what comes next. |
