Today Tinsley/Mallard
More nonsense about Zelnick

Day three of Mallard's continuing coverage of the two-month-old story about Bob Zelnick leaving ABC news over a partisan book.

Today Mallard gives us an example in context. "He got zelnicked." Which the duck explains is "sort of the private-sector version of getting borked." You all remember Judge Bork? He's the guy who didn't get approved for the Supreme Court back when the President was a Republican. I guess Mallard only makes up name-verbs for people he agrees with. The Republicans have been rejecting President Clinton's nominees for about six years now. Why hasn't he proposed verbs for any of them.

The best thing about today's cartoon is that the duck is actually shown in the act of using a dictionary. This is remarkable, as it has nothing to do with his favorite past-time, watching television.

And yet, neither watching TV nor making-up verbs has anything to do with being a reporter. I wonder if this thought slipped Bob Zelnick's mind as it has Mallard's?

Dan, why are you picking on this dim-witted duck anyway?
