Rare Sunny Days

The last few days have not only been sunny, but also warm enough for shorts and sleeveless tops. Since every plant in my yard is in bloom, I can keep myself busy just walking around looking at them, and that is time well spent because with warm weather, many of the rhododendron blossoms are fading fast, while the columbine bolts to seed. Jerry’s rose bloomed with a burst of yellow that is already melting away.

I have been doing some work though, because I know the cold drizzle will be back too soon. The pressure wash of the back deck is half done. I planted a couple azaleas. I put stepping stones through my lily of the valley bed so I don’t have to walk around it anymore.

The best part of nice weather is that I can be outside and ignore the mess that’s been building in the house.
