Scientists say that when you exercise, endorphins are released leaving you with a feeling of well-being. I disagree. I think that the feeling is pure smug. I began my fourth week of Fat Fight by increasing the speed on the treadmill from 'wander' to 'stroll' long enough for some moisture to accumulate on my brow. I wouldn't go as far as to call it sweat, but it almost formed a droplet or two. I also used the weights that are attached to the Nautilus machines. You'd think that I would have lost some weight by now, but no. Jerry says it's because muscle weighs more than fat. Now if he's right, my muscles are ripped! But I afraid reality taps on my shoulder and says, 'No more ice cream, no more chips.' Or maybe Jerry is right. |
