Traveling Shoes.

I'm driving a couple hundred miles to visit Mom tomorrow. It isn't that far, and I'll only be there for four days, so how come I'm packing a car full of stuff?

I have the electric screw driver, circular saw, and various other tools for fix-up projects she has planned. I also need my yard work clothes and shoes. The air mattress, of course, and a pillow. The list goes on. It's like a camping trip.

I bring the food from my kitchen that would go stale, and also a snack for the long drive over the pass. Then there is my bathroom stuff. I don't just take the stuff I need. I take the stuff I might need. There's various medicine-magic that I only use once or twice a year, so I certainly wouldn't want to buy more if I needed it while I was away from home.

By the time I leave tomorrow, the car will be cluttered with improbable junk that might not even get unpacked.

Yes, I will certainly forget at least one vital thing.
