Write On

Time to get serious about writing again, as you can tell by my blogs three days in a row. If I keep this up I could put together a Miseries of the Rainforest tourist guide. Yes, I already have a title for it.

Then there is that novel I started a while back. I haven't been able to get much of a handle on it, but if I put something together during November's write a novel event, I might figure out an ending for it. I know that the write a novel in November expects authors to go from zero to finished in thirty day, but it's not like there's any prize for following the rules.

Mostly I'm interested in picking up the Beneficence project. I have the material collected, and there's no end of it so I might as well organize what I've got. I think I've found a 'voice' for it. (In plain American palaver, 'voice' means a way of saying something that doesn't annoy readers.)

Then is the hard to resist 'just write something silly' urge, encouraged by friends who actually read my blogs. I enjoy writing about my are-you-sure-you-didn't-see-this-in-a-sitcom adventures. I don't have to write, just report, because stupid animals stories never get old.

The subjects I get excited about require hard work, but I have a strong urge to weave complex ideas together. However, I will make an effort to write a paragraph or two for the blog everyday. No point in letting messages from empty vending machines or skunk odor wafting through the air much too close to the dryer vent that the squirrel got in to go unnoted. By the way, squirrels don't like to chew duct tape, so that's information you can use.
